Places to Sleep

Finding a great hotel in a big city can be a daunting task. That's why we've done the research for you. New York City is full of overpriced hotels with small rooms and bad lighting. I've had my fair share of bad experiences in NYC hotels, but I've also discovered some hidden gems. The additional hotels that we recommend are some of the best in the city. They offer spacious rooms, stunning views and top-notch amenities. Plus, if you book at the right time, you can score a great deal.

  1. Whitby Hotel (beautiful boutique hotel with smaller beautifully decorated rooms)

  2. Park Hyatt, New York (Incredible lounge, pool, steam room and gym amenities. I love it so much sometimes I come to this bar & lounge even when I'm not staying at this hotel)

  3. Mandarin Oriental, New York (MO Lounge on the top floor has stunning views overlooking Central Park and beautifully crafted cocktails. You are paying for the views $$$$$$)

  4. Baccarat Hotel New York (Fabulous location, great people scene, very upscale vibe and experience)

  5. Lotte New York Palace (More reasonably priced. Great location)

Services

Our passion for travel has taken us to some of the most amazing places in the world. But we know that when you're off exploring new cultures and cuisines, sometimes you need to pause for a little self care. That's why we want to make sure that you know about

  1. Sania's Brow Bar: Sania and Suzy are experts at their craft and can transform your brows into the perfect shape for your face, making you feel more confident and beautiful without sacrificing a moment of your precious vacation time. Trust us – a visit to Sania's is worth every penny. They pluck instead of waxing so there isn't any unnecessary pulling on your skin.

  2. For hair styling and blowouts, we highly recommend Will at Rossano Ferretti Hair Spa (top floor of Park Hyatt Hotel)

Places to Eat

Global Upgrade is not just about traveling to different countries, it's about immersing yourself in the local culture and experiencing everything it has to offer, especially the food.

Our list of restaurants offers a diverse range of cuisines that cater to every palate.

  1. 4 Charles offers a chic, upscale dining experience, with the most incredible steak and burger you will ever taste

  2. Milos is famous for its fresh seafood, delicious Greek cuisine and celebrity spotting. The Greek salad is an absolute favorite!

  3. Fresco by Scotto is a family-owned Italian restaurant, which gives you a homey and vibrant atmosphere. The Zucchuni pie is a must try.

  4. Morea sits on Billionaires row and had delectable Italian fare with a lively atmosphere

  5. Darling is the perfect place for an evening cocktail with stunning views of central park, crafty cocktails, delicious bites, live entertainment and dancing. This is a hidden gem you will only find after an elevator ride and hidden staircase inside the Park Lane Hotel

  6. Hawksmoor Steakhouse and Cocktail Bar: As a female, I was one of about five in the entire place on the night I visited. More women need to know about this restaurant. The food was delicious and they have beautiful drinks and a full non-alcoholic craft cocktail menu as well. I prefer the bar sitting and the burger was out of this world.

So, pack your bags and let your taste buds go on a culinary journey with us.
